Coaching Philosophy
I approach teaching as a chance to give my students the same love I have for skating. I always make it a fun learning experience. I usually teach beginner levels. I try to make fun so they leave with a smile and the desire to come back and skate.
Competitive Background
I never competed professionally or in college. I skated for the joy of it. I took skating tests in freestyle, ice dancing, moves in the field and figures.
Coaching Experience
My entire professional career has been at Sky Rink. For two seasons I taught at Prospect Park in Brooklyn in addition to Sky Rink.
Most Memorable Sports Moment
My most memorable skating moment was landing an axel as a kid. Landing an axel put you in a special club.
Favorite Quotes
My favorite quote is Who learned something and had fun? At the end of class we make a circle and put our hands in the circle and raise our arms and yell we love ice skating.
