I believe every child can learn to swim at their own pace in a safe positive environment that builds confidence and a lifelong love of the water.
Competitive Background
Coach Derick started swimming at the age of four where he went on to join his high school swim team; from then on competed on the Masters Swim Team at the Downtown YMCA in Columbus, Ohio, McBurney YMCA, NY, and most recently Columbia University’s Masters Swim Team.
Coaching Experience
Coach Eric is a former Polish national champion and European Junior Championships finalist who competed at the highest levels of international swimming. As a junior, he broke multiple Polish national records, laying the foundation for continued success. He went on to compete for St. John’s University, earning second place at the Big East Conference Championships. Today, he continues to race as a Masters swimming European and U.S. national champion. His competitive experience shapes his leadership of the aquatics program, blending technical expertise with a passion for helping young swimmers grow in confidence and skill.

His most memorable sports moment was learning that his son had been accepted to swim in college and continue his swimming journey.
