Coaching Philosophy

One should always strive make a pool environment fun for young children. Learning the skills to be able to swim and be water safe are best learned when a child finds joy from being in the water.

Competitive Background

I swam in my high school, which had a joint program with the red cross that allowed me to obtain my lifeguard and WSI certifications. I also ran track competitively which gave me the discipline and work ethic that I maintain through coaching my students.

Coaching Experience

Almost three years of experience in swim instruction at my Alma mater, West Virginia University and previous place of employment, Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center. I have taught children between the ages of 2-14 as well as adults

Most Memorable Sports Moment

Running my first race at the armory in Fort Washington. That day I truly felt like an athlete.
