Coaching Philosophy
Skating is more than just a sport. When skaters follow their passion, they develop strong practice habits, confidence and self-expression that help them fulfill their potential (both inside and outside of the rink). I see myself as a mentor throughout that process for my students. I am there to impart my knowledge, support, and encourage them to put their best foot forward.
Competitive Background
I am a U.S. Figure Skating triple gold medalist in Moves-in-the-Field, Ice Dance and Solo Free Dance. I also perform with Ice Theatre of New York and have performed at Rockefeller Center, for events with Chanel, as well as Phillip Glass and Laurie Anderson. I have also performed alongside Beth Woronoff in the Hudson Valley. I specialize in coaching Moves-in-the-Field and have a strong ice dance background. I also do off-ice training for skaters, imparting my knowledge from years of training with Morgan Richardson (the off-ice trainer for Olympic Gold Medalist, Sarah Hughes).
Coaching Experience
I have been skating since I was six years old, and teaching skating for approximately ten years. I train beginner to freestyle-level skaters, and I specialize in coaching Moves-in-the-Field. I have been on staff at Sky Rink, Chelsea Piers since 2017, but have experience teaching at various rinks around New York City (World Ice Arena, where I co-managed and choreographed for the Basic Skills Theatre on Ice team, as well as at LeFrak Center at Lakeside and Figure Skating in Harlem). I am also the former Director of the Preschool and Junior Ice Skating Camp program at Chelsea Piers.

Tara Lipinski's elated reaction after finishing her Olympic Gold winning program. As a kid, seeing that was everything!
