Child Basic Skills Level 6
Ice Skating ·
Last level of Basic Skills, this is for skaters who have achieved all skills from Levels 1-5.
This Skating School class teaches skaters forward inside three-turns, moving backward to forward, backward stroking, one-foot spins, T-stops, bunny hops and forward spirals on the skaters dominant foot. Upon completing Basic 6, skaters are prepared to join our specialized Aspire program.

Aspire Intro to Figure Skating

This class transitions skaters from Basic Skill group classes to freestyle sessions. It is the bridge between Skating School and competitive-level figure skating including Pre-Free Skate to Freestyle Level 6 skill sets.
Prepare for the world of figure skating with our progressive Aspire program! Designed to cultivate essential skills for smooth transitions into figure skating, each level builds upon the last, creating a strong foundation. From basic skating skills to advanced jumps and spins, our positive and interactive group classes ensure skaters learn with joy and encouragement. In Aspire 1, master the waltz jump, half flip, half lutz, and more. Aspire 2 introduces single salchow, toe loop, and intricate jump combinations, along with spins like the back upright and forward sit spins.

Adult Aspire Class

This class transitions skaters from Basic Skill group classes to freestyle sessions. It is the bridge between more competitive-level figure skating.
Prepare for figure skating with our Aspire Adult Skating Classes! These classes focus on building a strong foundation of skills needed for a smooth transition into figure skating. In a positive and interactive group format, instructors emphasize quality and mastery of skills.
If you are a beginner skater, this program is not suitable for you. Please ensure you are working on jumps and spins and have successfully completed Level 6.

Adult Basic Skills Level 1

Adult skaters with minimal or no prior skating experience, learn the basic skating skills and build confidence on the ice.
Adult Basic Skills Level 1 introduces beginner skaters to the fundamentals of skating. Skaters learn in a supportive group environment led by expert coaches. Skaters are introduced to falling and recovery, forward marching, forward two-foot glides, one forwrad swizzle and one backward swizzle, dips and snowplow stops. This is the perfect beginner class to master the basics.
Class Breakdown: 7:00pm-7:20pm Warm-up, 7:20pm-7:50pm Group Class, 7:50pm-8:20pm Free Skate.

Adult Basic Skills Level 2

Adult skaters that have completed Adult 1 will continue to work on the basic skating skills and build more confidence on the ice.
In the next level of Adult Basic Skills, skaters learn forward skating across the ice, forward one-foot glides, forward slalom, backward skating, backward swizzles, two-foot turns in place.
