What parents say
Chloe has had an amazing experience at Chelsea Piers. The coaches have been encouraging, patient, and supportive while helping her build confidence, skills, and a love for gymnastics. She looks forward to class every week and has grown both athletically and socially through the program.
This has been Nora’s most positive experience with gymnastics at CP. She loves her coach and has many opportunities to practice with the small group structure.
Sofia is always excited to go which is a change from her last gymnastics center where she cried and was clingy. She seems to have fun at Chelsea.
Gymnastics has played a meaningful role in helping her overcome challenges both physically and socially and has really boosted her confidence. She looks forward to every class and feels supported, motivated, and proud of the progress she’s making.
We welcome children from 3 months through their teens. Our youngest classes — Starfish — are designed for infants and toddlers with a caregiver in the water. Infant swim lessons start as early as 3 months. Every level from there is built around where your child is right now, developmentally and in the water.
If you're not sure which program fits your child, our team is happy to help.

Gymnastics builds strength, flexibility, coordination, and spatial awareness in ways most other youth sports simply don’t—and it does it at the exact developmental window when those foundations matter most. Kids who do gymnastics tend to be more physically confident across every sport they play. A young skater learns edges faster. A soccer player moves with more agility. A swimmer has stronger core mechanics.

The cross-sport value is real—and it goes both directions. Gymnastics creates natural pathways into cheer, diving, dance, and ninja training. Many of our gymnasts carry the physical foundation they build here into wherever they go next.
Every skill in gymnastics has a progression. You can’t skip steps. You have to earn a back walkover before you get a back handspring. Children learn that effort, patience, and attention to detail produce results—not talent alone. They also learn to manage fear and push through it in a safe environment. The beam is a perfect example: the skill of quieting your mind, focusing your body, and trusting yourself transfers everywhere.
